Battle of Clontarf Millenium Exhibition 2014
Triptych - Gormlaith - Brian Boru - King Sitric
Each picture is hand wet nuno felted silk and wool fibre, with a finished size of 900 wide by 1,200 deep. The detail is added by needle felting.
The exhibition was held to commemorate the millenium of the Battle of Clontarf. The tryptech represents:-
- Brian Boru, High King of Ireland
- Gormlaith, wife of Brian Boru and mother of Sitric
- Sitric, King of Dublin, son of Gormlaith, married to the daughter of Brian Boru
